МЕЖДУ ПРАВИТЕЛЬСТВОМ РОССИЙСКОЙ ФЕДЕРАЦИИ И ПРАВИТЕЛЬСТВОМ ЯПОНИИ О СОТРУДНИЧЕСТВЕ В МИРНОМ ИСПОЛЬЗОВАНИИ АТОМНОЙ ЭНЕРГИИ. Соглашение. Правительство РФ. 12.05.09

Article 3
                                   
     Cooperation between the Parties as specified in Article 2 of this
Agreement shall be subject to the provisions of this Agreement and the
legislation  of  their  respective  States.  In respect of cooperation
envisaged  in  sub-paragraph  (3)  of paragraph 1 of Article 2 of this
Agreement,   acceptance  of  the  application  of  safeguards  by  the
International Atomic Energy Agency shall be required and:
     (1) if the recipient is the Government of Japan or its authorized
persons,  the  Agreement  between  the  Government  of  Japan  and the
International Atomic Energy Agency in Implementation of Article III. 1
and  4  of  the  Non-Proliferation  Treaty,  done  on March 4, 1977 as
supplemented  by  an  Additional  Protocol,  done  on December 4, 1998
(hereinafter  referred  to  as  "the  Safeguards Agreement for Japan")
shall be implemented; and
     (2)  if the recipient is the Government of the Russian Federation
or  its  authorized persons, the Agreement between the Union of Soviet
Socialist Republics and the International Atomic Energy Agency for the
application  of safeguards in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics,
done  on  February 21, 1985 as supplemented by an Additional Protocol,
done  on  March  22,  2000 (hereinafter referred to as "the Safeguards
Agreement for the Russian Federation") shall be implemented and one or
more facilities selected by the International Atomic Energy Agency for
the application of safeguards provided for in the Safeguards Agreement
for  the  Russian  Federation shall exist, for the purpose of ensuring
the implementation of Article 5 of this Agreement.
