Article 9
                   Consultations Regarding Offences

     1.  Considering  the  special  nature of joint activities, in the
event  that  a  Russian  representative  or  an accompanying member of
his/her  immediate  family  is  charged, while in the territory of the
Republic  of  Korea, with an offence under the laws of the Republic of
Korea, or in the event that a Korean representative or an accompanying
member  of his/her immediate family is charged, while in the territory
of  the  Russian  Federation,  with  an  offence under the laws of the
Russian Federation, the Parties shall, through their authorized bodies
and/or  state  bodies  authorized  in  accordance with the laws of the
States  of  the Parties, hold consultations in an effective and prompt
manner  through  appropriate  agreed  mechanisms  on matters of mutual
concern pertaining to the case, including legal proceedings.
     2.  Where  the authorized Russian officials inform the authorized
Korean  officials  that  a  Russian  representative or an accompanying
member  of  his/her  immediate  family  is  suspected,  while  in  the
territory of the Republic of Korea, of committing an offence under the
laws  of  the  Russian  Federation,  or  where  the  authorized Korean
officials  inform  the  authorized  Russian  officials  that  a Korean
representative  or  an accompanying member of his/her immediate family
is  suspected,  while  in  the territory of the Russian Federation, of
committing  an  offence  under  the laws of the Republic of Korea, the
Parties  shall,  through  their  authorized bodies and/or state bodies
authorized  in  accordance with the laws of the States of the Parties,
hold   consultations   in  an  effective  and  prompt  manner  through
appropriate agreed mechanisms.
